I liked this picture because the colors are really smudged together. The little orange dots are really pretty. There is great depth and color in this photo, and the low layer of smog near the ground helps to tell the story of what happened.
I love the color that's taking up most of the photograph. I couldn't really explain how this color could be made. Plus, the way that people had all of their arms outstretched, welcoming in the new year is perfect timing. The night sky is really beautiful as well.
Again, there is another fire picture. You can see that the orange smudges in the picture are the fires burning in the forest. It's kind of blurred by the smoke which also assists in enhancing the photo. I'm not totally sure if the other dots are also smaller fires, or what. It sort of looks like little stars.
