So how about this - find 25 things you think should be in every yearbook
A good yearbook should definitely have :
Plenty of pictures
A good paragraph or caption to go with them
Title somewhere on the page or cover
Plenty of things to read
Good grammar/spelling
A good title
Actually includes stuff about that school the yearbook is about
Non-cheesy titles, actually relates to subject
The right font
Good pictures
Most relates to school
No secret pages (pages with anonymous secrets) THAT'S JUST NO!!
Pages relating to school clubs
Right layout
Less apostrophes (Rollin', Makin' etc)
Right pictures
A good amount of sports and clubs and academic activities
Labels
The year with the title on the front cover
A table of contents
Larger, easier to read fonts
Class pictures
Messages to the Seniors
Team pictures
The name of the year book is Keeping it Chill.
The school is Anderson High School
I'm seeing a lot of apostrophes instead of the actual ending (keepin' makin' chill in')
I liked the Fine Arts Spread
There is indeed an index
There are pictures of clubs and sports
Unfortunately, there is not a table of contents
I'd guess there are around 3-4 thousand students who go there
The school is located in Texas

Magazine Cover Peer Review
http://andresphotojournalism.blogspot.com/2014/12/magazine-cover.html
The title was Sixteen, by Andre Moore
I loved the model who was looking down, and the appropriate amount of captions
I can't really say that I like the color scheme, a little dull.
Yes, the bar code is there
Yeah, it does
And the photo taken was a portrait.
Prompt Shoot Peer Review!
http://avysphotojournalism.blogspot.com
I loved the footprints prompt because it was a unique way to show in a particular point of view.
My least favorite picture was pose, because it seemed too forced. Like, it was kind of unnatural, and I found that if I were to get a pose, I'd have to capture one without telling the subject to do anything.
Overall, the pictures were great! The lighting was amazing, as well as the timing and clearness of the shots. In the eight prompt shoot, that was amazing how it looked almost symmetrical and used the prompt in a creative way.
I found that this photographer could improve including the rules of photography in their shots a little more often. Other than that, the pictures were great. As I mentioned before, one of my favorite prompts was the eight, because it looked symmetrical, a rule of photography. As for my least favorite, it'd have to be the pose, as it looks forced and no rules of photography in it.

Links Below :)
I picked this photo because it's colorful and dull at the same time. I've always loved spiral staircases and when I saw this, it was just calling my name. It's just beautiful and amazing. I see some depth and leading lines here. Except that it's kind of hard to tell where the lines are leading. This picture, along with others like it, was taken by Christian Richter.
I saw a lot of spiral staircases on the website. There was also a small description summarizing what Richter did to capture these beautiful photographs of quite disorienting staircases. I learned that the photographer used a 16-35 mm f/2.8 lens, along with a tripod. He then composes the photos to make them look like what they do. There is a lot of depth in the many pictures he's taken. Because there aren't many rules in the simplistic pictures, this makes them even more pretty. It related to photography in a way that inspires the reader to get out and pick something unique to capture, and what kind of lenses to use in specific areas.

I like this one because there is only one object to draw the viewer's attention. Plus, it's almost like you can feel what the weather is like, cool and warm at once.
There is a simple background, simplicity. The photographer really chose an ideal spot to take this picture where there are no objects to obstruct the picture. There were a lot of other photos in this kind of lighting and mood. Most were up close, so as you could almost touch them. Rachel Sussman was the photographer, who really thought well before capturing.

Denise Alceda really knows how to pose! She is experienced, and gives real people advice on how to pose. She also tells the reader to not look like a deer caught in the headlights. That's pretty important. I also learned not to grip my hands so hard or make it look like I have claws! Definitely not. I didn't know that you have to keep moving for poses, that sounds weird. This relates to photography because sometimes, people will want to take pictures with people having to pose, and they'll know that they can't grip their hands or to be asymmetrical.
Modeling isn't all pretty dresses or smoldering looks, you know.

In order to capture a good portrait, you have to be able to get the model out of their comfort zone. In order to do that, you should tell him/her to do something they love. Or talk about their lives to get them more comfortable. Also be sure to have them looking off camera. Most photographers have their subjects looking straight at the camera, it feels like they're watching you. As for photography, I learned a lot, to break the ice with an adult model, to get just the right time to photograph babies. Also I learned
to have them look off screen, and use a good portion of negative space.
A new fact I did just find was if that you wanted to deliberately tilt the horizon line, it gives the picture a sense of tension, if you wanted that.

You should definitely experiment with what you have. Nobody really wants boring, ordinary photos. We want exciting, bold, brilliant pictures. One also has to look for what they like in themselves. If that works, the picture will possibly work too. There were a lot of things that I learned, and making sure that there are all of the elements of style in the photo are one of them (color, pattern, line, shape, texture, form). Also that you can ask your client to do wild stuff. Not too wild, but you could always ask. Photography is necessary for taking style and turning the notch up. The angle, look, type, all of the rules. That's why we have the pictures we do today, because people use the rules of photography to make their pictures stunning and gorgeous.

What I did for the Holidays.
The thing I most remember from the holidays is getting my phone. I can also remember going to Colorado with my family to go skiing. Skiing is not something I want to do again. For the new year, I would like to be able to get to go to a concert, and to meet the band. But it's probably not going to happen. I'm looking to my birthday in 2015, because I'm turning sixteen. My mom also might let me get my learner's permit too!
Prompt Questions
Best Song of 2014
Night Changes
One Direction
This song, at least in my opinion, was the best song of 2014. It was sensitive, and tender. It's about a girl who feels held back and finally decides to let go. I love the chorus, Does it ever drive you crazy, just how fast the night changes. The song's music video especially is amazing because the guys, instead of using a random girl, makes it seems like they're dating you instead. That's what I really love about this song, as well as Four itself.
Best Movie of 2014
The Hobbit
I loved this movie. The reason why I thought it was the best movie, was because it was the last movie of the epic Hobbit series, and even more, the Lord of The Rings series. It's got the best special effects, and amazing actors. My favorite person, or creature, of the movie is Smaug. I think they spent a very good portion of the time working on the dragon. Plus the voice actor is amazing. It's not that I don't think anyone else isn't, but I find that he's my favorite.
Celebrity Deaths
There were multiple deaths in 2014, and there were also some celebrity deaths. One sad one in particular was Robin Williams. He was a very funny man who made people laugh everywhere. So it was a great loss when we lost him. Another one is Joan Rivers, and she too, was a great actor/celebrity. I will miss these people very, very much.
Most Influential People
Benedict Cumberbatch
Not only is he an amazing actor, he's an amazing person. His role in the Imitation Game is that of an excellent person. He's humble and smart and funny. People everywhere are starting to fall for his charms and good looks, including me. Benedict has been known for multiple roles in movies, such as Smaug from the Hobbit.
Entertainment Story
Wheel of Fortune
This man's lucky guess stunned a large amount of people in 2014. The host was so surprised, he jokingly frisked the contestant. Fortunately for Emil, he was able to go home with an extra $45,000 in his pocket. The phrase that was guessed was New Baby Buggy.
Favorite pictures of 2014
I liked this picture because the colors are really smudged together. The little orange dots are really pretty. There is great depth and color in this photo, and the low layer of smog near the ground helps to tell the story of what happened.
I love the color that's taking up most of the photograph. I couldn't really explain how this color could be made. Plus, the way that people had all of their arms outstretched, welcoming in the new year is perfect timing. The night sky is really beautiful as well.
Again, there is another fire picture. You can see that the orange smudges in the picture are the fires burning in the forest. It's kind of blurred by the smoke which also assists in enhancing the photo. I'm not totally sure if the other dots are also smaller fires, or what. It sort of looks like little stars.
